Shantel Cribbs is a proud Michigan native who moved to Chicago to pursue her musical theatre career. She is an actress, singer-songwriter and dancer who's journey began as a young child singing in the gospel choir at her church and as a member of Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, a world renowned intensive performing arts program.
Her Chicago credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Mercury Theatre and Drury Lane Theatre), Beauty and the Beast (Drury Lane Theatre), Jeff Nominated production of Memphis (Porchlight Music Theater), Jeff Nominated production of Marie Christine (BoHo Theatre), Hairspray (Windy City Music Theatre), Once On This Island and Blues for an Alabama Sky (Columbia College Chicago).
She has worked with Chet Walker, Kyle Pleasant, Bill Hastings, Andy Gale, Douglas Cohen, Preeti Vasudevan, Michael Jagger, and Camille A. Brown at The School at Jacob’s Pillow where she performed in A Jazz Happening (Ted Shawn Theatre).
She holds a BFA Degree in Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College Chicago. Shantel is blessed to have the chance to inspire others and change lives through her art. She wants to thank her family, friends, and instructors for being strong supporters.
